Course Descriptions:
This course surveys the Golden Age of Russian literature (19th-century Russian prose fiction, poetry, and drama) in light of such literary movements as Neoclassicism, Sentimentalism, Romanticism, and Realism. The course includes the works of such representative authors of the period as Pushkin, Lermontov, Gogol, Turgenev, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Ostrovsky, Fet, Leskov, and others. All course lectures, reading, writing, and discussions are IN ENGLISH.
