Bio
Evan Martens is a PhD candidate at UC Davis in the Department of German and Russian with a Designated Emphasis in Feminist Theory and Research. Evan’s research traces the connection between abjection and writing in trans and non-binary literary experience across various literary periods. Their academic interests include German cultural and literary studies, postmigration and diaspora studies, queer theory, and trans studies. Evan is particularly captivated by the relationship between author and text, especially that of queer and trans and non-binary writers.
